Calculation of Con-rod Stress in Multi-Body System
Malinský, Marek ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The aim of my thesis is to create a procedure for the calculation of con rod stress in MBS Software. The thesis contains several parts, i.e. a short research of contemporary con rods, con rod modelling with the use of Pro/E, methodics of the finite-element con rod model preparation and model analysis in ANSYS Software, creating of virtual combustion engine template with flexible con rod and carrying out a strain hardening analysis in ADAM/Engine software. The theme of my thesis is quite demanding in the combination and the use of several computer software programmes. The thesis offers a survey of possibilities, procedures and methodics of con rod stress solutions that help to clarify the matter.
Petrol five-cylinder radial aircraft engine
Donutil, Jan ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with configuration of radial five-cylinder engine with attention to crank mechanism. Covered topics are motion of crank mechanism with articulated connecting rod, force analysis and balancing of inertial forces. The second part discusses FEM analysis and calculation of safety factor of selected component.
Five-cylinder in-line diesel engine
Kujawa, Pawel ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The primary objective of this thesis was to design a crankshaft according to given parameters. In this case the thesis also contains the balancing of inertia forces and its moments, modal analysis and calculation of torsion vibrations. The last chapter includes a calculation of the safety factor by using a Finite Element Method.
Piston and Connecting Rod Assemblies of a CI Engine
Řehůřek, Lukáš ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of the piston and connecting rod assemblies of selected CI engine. Before a design is created short background research of pistons and connecting rods of CI engine. Next is an analysis of the crank mechanism, which is used in the strength control of the piston and connecting rod. The work also contains drawings.
